Euforic – Europe’s Forum on International Cooperation

Euforic is a not for profit cooperative, owned and guided by its members. It makes information on Europe’s international cooperation more accessible; facilitates communication and dialogue among organisations involved in Europe’s international cooperation; brokers collaboration, learning and knowledge exchange on international cooperation issues.

Euforic was set up in 1995 to bring information of its members together in one place and ensure that it is as widely read as possible. Euforic was built on cooperative principles and tools – web spaces, web publishing systems, online libraries, discussion lists and shared contacts. Today, the principles are the same but the tools have evolved. So-called ‘web 2.0’ tools underpin nearly everything Euforic does - events listings, articles and news stories, search, the documents archive. There is a public web2.0 service behind them all. We believe that such tools are particularly powerful to aggregate and mobilize content on specific issues – and to get it on the electronic desks of users worldwide. It also offers massive scope for organizations to cooperate to better serve their constituencies.
